The ensemble will perform String Quartet No. 2 by Alfonso Lías. The work forms part of the broader movement to build a distinctive Latin American repertoire for string quartet, actively promoted by the Cuarteto Latinoamericano, which has served as a bridge between contemporary composers from Latin America and the international chamber music scene.

The piece also holds special significance for the group, as it was prepared under the guidance of Saúl Bitrán, first violinist of the ensemble, whose mentorship helped deepen not only the technical approach to the work but also its language and aesthetic character.
